A camera can follow a person and adjust the framing. But a convincing perspective also depends on the right camera height. This is where the OBSBOT Tail 2 with NDI and the Second Wave RoboLift High complement each other.

The Tail 2 provides intelligent subject tracking. RoboLift adds motorised height adjustment to the camera setup. This allows you to adapt the camera position to seated or standing presenters without manually readjusting the tripod — for example, when switching from a seated interview to a standing presentation.

You can change not only the framing, but also the actual camera position. Tilting the camera changes its viewing direction; adjusting its height changes the perspective, helping you position the camera at eye level.

This Complete Solution brings both products together from a single supplier: a compact camera setup combining intelligent camera functions with flexible shooting height.

Product 1: Second Wave RoboLift High

Motorised height adjustment for flexible camera perspectives

The Second Wave RoboLift High is a compact camera tripod with motorised height adjustment, an integrated wheeled base and a load capacity of up to 15 kg. Height adjustment is operated using the supplied wired remote control.

The foldable base simplifies transport and storage. Three castors with cable guards allow repositioning on suitable level floors. Integrated levelling supports horizontal alignment.

Product 2: OBSBOT Tail 2 with NDI

AI-powered 4K camera for live production and streaming

The OBSBOT Tail 2 is a PTZR camera, combining pan, tilt and zoom with an additional rotation function for motorised switching between landscape and portrait formats.

AI Tracking 2.0 enables automatic tracking of people, supported animals and objects. Features such as “Only Me”, group tracking and automatic zoom assist with framing during presentations, interviews and scenes involving moving subjects.

Image quality and zoom

The 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor and twelve-element optical system support video recording at up to 4K at 60 frames per second.

The 5x optical zoom and up to 12x hybrid zoom provide flexibility between wide shots and close-ups. AI-powered noise reduction supports shooting in low-light conditions.

Connectivity for professional production environments

NDI HX3 enables integration into compatible IP video workflows. HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB-C 3.0, Ethernet and RS-232 provide additional connection options for conventional and network-based production environments.

Technical specifications

Battery life depends on the operating mode. OBSBOT specifies approximately 217 minutes at 1080p/30 fps and 207 minutes at 4K/60 fps under laboratory conditions.

What does RoboLift add to the Tail 2’s AI tracking?

Tracking keeps the subject in the frame. RoboLift additionally allows you to change the actual shooting height, adapting the camera perspective to seated or standing presenters.

Does RoboLift automatically adjust its height based on the Tail 2’s tracking?

Automatic coordination between camera tracking and height adjustment is not included in this combination. The Tail 2 tracks the subject; RoboLift’s height is adjusted using its remote control.

Is the Robotic Data Box included in the special price?
